Finding a Natural Medicine Practice near You

There are ways to find natural medicine doctors near you, including some organizations with websites for practitioner searches. Some of these practitioners may do primary care for adults and/or children, and if not, they could refer you to someone who does.
One organization that can help is the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM). They have a directory of members under the tab "Find a Provider". The AIHM tends to have a very positive emphasis on psychological, social, and spiritual health, which I find quite refreshing. The AIHM does not have as many members as some other organizations partly because it is limited to licensed physicians and health care practitioners, and has fairly high membership dues.
Another good organization for finding practitioners is the National Center for Homeopathy (NCH). There is a section in their website where you can search for practitioners under the "Resources" tab with "Find a Homeopath". NCH has more members both because it has more diverse membership including massage therapists, counselors, chiropractors, veterinarians, etc. Yearly dues are also much less than AIHM.
Dr Bob Sears had an excellent list of “vaccine friendly” doctors, but this list is now provided by a different site, DrGreenMom, and may not be updated frequently. They are not necessarily holistic or natural medicine oriented doctors, and you will need to contact them for more information.
You can also try asking local midwives, natural health stores, and chiropractors located in your neighborhood, many of whom can be found with online searches. Most of these people use a primary care doctor of some sort, and even if they cannot help you, you could simply ask them who they see.
Whatever the method used to find them, I would recommend calling the practitioner's office to ask questions and get a feel for the type of practice, including whether they do primary care.
