Click on "download file" below to view & download my paper on restarting school, performing arts, and youth athletics, written in the summer of 2020, documenting the extremely low risk for young people. In that paper I predicted that the risk would drop even further as improved data came in, but even I did not think it would drop as low as it did. In two very large research efforts in young people it was found to be lower than the risk from chickenpox. This was first documented in my paper from autumn 2020 on US College students, and confirmed a year later in a very large German study published in November 2021. It is unclear why these findings were not front page news all over the world.
